Video Collective Los Angeles (VCLA) is an LA-based microcinema focusing on experimental, found and forgotten films.
VCLA is back in December with an all new program of avant-garde short video pieces that we have curated, as well as the opportunity to bring your own video (BYOV). After the shorts, we’ll be hanging out to watch a truly bizarre Christmas-themed feature The Magic Christmas Tree (1964).
The Magic Christmas Tree is an off-kilter winter romp featuring a good witch, a talking tree, and a Santa Claus hostage situation. It has a coveted 2/10 rating on IMDB. Read more about the film here: http://www.imdb.com/title/
